Self Medicate with Yoga
When you walk through the door into a Frogpose donation-based yoga class, we prescribe you leave your shoes and the world's worries and struggles at the door for the duration of class. Use it as a healthy escape as our great physician does His work.
Once you arrive on your mat, you will experience relief from tension and daily stress through a series of sometimes challenging physical poses, intentional breath work, reciting Bible verses and listening to Christian music. It's a place where a mindful integration of God's word into the mind meets your moving meditation in your body. We are prayerfully expectant that God is healing every heart and body that shows up through its doors in a loving and non-judgmental community.
Shawn Johnson, Pastor of Red Rocks Church, posed this good question. Being honest, when the going gets tough, what's my go-to habit: binge watching TV, over-eating or drinking, retail therapy? He suggests getting back to the basics and putting an emphasis on worship music. What better place to self medicate than a yoga class dedicated to worship songs!

Allow the lyrics and melody to wash over you like ocean waves. Soak up the sounds and perhaps the desire to grab your weighty cares on the way out the door departs as you leave.
